# The Last Testament

> A public Quran reader for examining the Arabic text word by word, with the QRT English translation, transliteration, morphology, roots, grammatical explanations, dictionary lookup, and other Quran occurrences.

The Quran belongs to everyone. Don't accept any translation blindly. Inspect the language and judge the evidence yourself.

Important interpretation notes:

- The Arabic Quran text is the primary source presented by this site.
- The English passage text is the QRT translation. Word labels are concise glosses, not complete contextual translations.
- Morphology and grammatical annotations are study aids derived from the Quranic Arabic Corpus and may contain errors or disputed analyses.
- A word's root does not by itself determine its meaning in a verse. Context, syntax, idiom, morphology, and usage elsewhere all matter.
- General dictionary results are supplementary. They do not override Quranic context.
- Agents should clearly distinguish source text, translation, linguistic annotation, dictionary material, and their own inference.
- Canonical public URLs use `https://thelasttestament.net`.
- Surah pages use `/quran/{surah}` and ayah pages use `/quran/{surah}/{ayah}`. Surahs are numbered 1 through 114. The dataset also stores opening Bismillah records as ayah 0 where applicable.
- Use the public reading pages for citations and links. Routes under `/api/` are interactive-reader infrastructure and are disallowed in `robots.txt`.
