Say, "Are there any of those whom you set up as partners who can guide to the truth?" Say, "God guides to the truth. Is He who guides to the truth more worthy of being followed, or the one who does not guide except after he is guided? What is wrong with you, how do you judge?"

[10:35-36] These verses also convict those who associate Muhammed as a partner with God in hukm (legislation/judgment). They confuse following the message of the messenger with following Muhammed. Verse 36, points at the source of their partnership: conjecture or hearsay. See 6:112; 12:111; 9:31.
