Surah 11 · Verse 28

قَالَqālaHe saidيَاyāOقَوْمِqawmimy peopleاَرَاَيْتُمْara-aytumDo you seeاِنْinifكُنْتُkuntuI wasعَلٰىʿalāonبَيِّنَةٍbayyinatin(the) clear proofمِنْminfromرَبّ۪يrabbīmy Lordوَاٰتٰين۪يwaātānīwhile He has given meرَحْمَةًraḥmatanmercyمِنْminfromعِنْدِه۪ʿindihiHimselfفَعُمِّيَتْfaʿummiyatbut (it) has been obscuredعَلَيْكُمْۜʿalaykumfrom youاَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَاanul'zimukumūhāshould We compel you (to accept) itوَاَنْتُمْwa-antumwhile you (are)لَهَاlahāaverse to itكَارِهُونَkārihūnaaverse to it
