Surah 11 · Verse 38

وَيَصْنَعُwayaṣnaʿuAnd he was constructingالْفُلْكَl-ful'kathe shipوَكُلَّمَاwakullamāand every timeمَرَّmarrapassedعَلَيْهِʿalayhiby himمَلَاٌmala-on(the) chiefsمِنْminofقَوْمِه۪qawmihihis peopleسَخِرُواsakhirūthey ridiculedمِنْهُۜmin'hu[of] himقَالَqālaHe saidاِنْinIfتَسْخَرُواtaskharūyou ridiculeمِنَّاminnāusفَاِنَّاfa-innāthen weنَسْخَرُnaskharucan ridiculeمِنْكُمْminkumyouكَمَاkamāasتَسْخَرُونَۜtaskharūnayou ridicule
