قَالَqālaHe saidيَاyāOقَوْمِqawmimy peopleاَرَاَيْتُمْara-aytumDo you seeاِنْinifكُنْتُkuntuI amعَلٰىʿalāonبَيِّنَةٍbayyinatina clear proofمِنْminfromرَبّ۪يrabbīmy Lordوَاٰتٰين۪يwaātānīand He has given meمِنْهُmin'hufrom Himرَحْمَةًraḥmatana Mercyفَمَنْfamanthen whoيَنْصُرُن۪يyanṣurunī(can) help meمِنَminaagainstاللّٰهِl-lahiAllahاِنْinifعَصَيْتُهُʿaṣaytuhuI (were to) disobey HimفَمَاfamāSo notتَز۪يدُونَن۪يtazīdūnanīyou would increase meغَيْرَghayrabutتَخْس۪يرٍtakhsīrin(in) lossHe said, "My people, what do you think if I was on clear evidence from my Lord, and He gave me from Him a mercy. Who would then support me against God if I disobey Him? You would only increase me in loss!"
