Surah 12 · Verse 25

وَاسْتَبَقَاwa-is'tabaqāAnd they both racedالْبَابَl-bāba(to) the doorوَقَدَّتْwaqaddatand she toreقَم۪يصَهُqamīṣahuhis shirtمِنْminfromدُبُرٍduburinthe backوَاَلْفَيَاwa-alfayāand they both foundسَيِّدَهَاsayyidahāher husbandلَدَاladāatالْبَابِۜl-bābithe doorقَالَتْqālatShe saidمَاmāWhatجَزَٓاءُjazāu(is) the recompenseمَنْman(of one) whoاَرَادَarādaintendedبِاَهْلِكَbi-ahlikafor your wifeسُٓوءاًsūanevilاِلَّٓاillāexceptاَنْanthatيُسْجَنَyus'janahe be imprisonedاَوْaworعَذَابٌʿadhābuna punishmentاَل۪يمٌalīmunpainful
