Surah 12 · Verse 40

مَاmāNotتَعْبُدُونَtaʿbudūnayou worshipمِنْminbesides Himدُونِه۪ٓdūnihibesides Himاِلَّٓاillābutاَسْمَٓاءًasmāannamesسَمَّيْتُمُوهَٓاsammaytumūhāwhich you have named themاَنْتُمْantumyouوَاٰبَٓاؤُ۬كُمْwaābāukumand your forefathersمَٓاmānotاَنْزَلَanzala(has) sent downاللّٰهُl-lahuAllahبِهَاbihāfor itمِنْminanyسُلْطَانٍۜsul'ṭāninauthorityاِنِiniNotالْحُكْمُl-ḥuk'mu(is) the commandاِلَّاillābutلِلّٰهِۜlillahifor AllahاَمَرَamaraHe has commandedاَلَّاallāthat notتَعْبُدُٓواtaʿbudūyou worshipاِلَّٓاillābutاِيَّاهُۜiyyāhuHim AloneذٰلِكَdhālikaThatالدّ۪ينُl-dīnu(is) the religionالْقَيِّمُl-qayimuthe rightوَلٰكِنَّwalākinnabutاَكْثَرَaktharamostالنَّاسِl-nāsi[the] menلَاlā(do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknow
