Surah 12 · Verse 51

قَالَqālaHe saidمَاmāWhatخَطْبُكُنَّkhaṭbukunna(was) your affairاِذْidhwhenرَاوَدْتُنَّrāwadttunnayou sought to seduceيُوسُفَyūsufaYusufعَنْʿanfromنَفْسِه۪ۜnafsihihimselfقُلْنَqul'naThey saidحَاشَḥāshaAllah forbidلِلّٰهِlillahiAllah forbidمَاmāNotعَلِمْنَاʿalim'nāwe knowعَلَيْهِʿalayhiabout himمِنْminanyسُٓوءٍۜsūinevilقَالَتِqālatiSaidامْرَاَتُim'ra-atu(the) wifeالْعَز۪يزِl-ʿazīzi(of) Azizالْـٰٔنَl-ānaNowحَصْحَصَḥaṣḥaṣa(is) manifestالْحَقُّۘl-ḥaquthe truthاَنَا۬anāIرَاوَدْتُهُrāwadttuhusought to seduce himعَنْʿanfromنَفْسِه۪nafsihihimselfوَاِنَّهُwa-innahuand indeed, heلَمِنَlamina(is) surely ofالصَّادِق۪ينَl-ṣādiqīnathe truthful
