Surah 16 · Verse 26

قَدْqadVerilyمَكَرَmakaraplottedالَّذ۪ينَalladhīnathose whoمِنْmin(were) before themقَبْلِهِمْqablihim(were) before themفَاَتَىfa-atābut Allah cameاللّٰهُl-lahubut Allah cameبُنْيَانَهُمْbun'yānahum(at) their buildingمِنَminafromالْقَوَاعِدِl-qawāʿidithe foundationsفَخَرَّfakharraso fellعَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimuupon themالسَّقْفُl-saqfuthe roofمِنْminfromفَوْقِهِمْfawqihimabove themوَاَتٰيهُمُwa-atāhumuand came to themالْعَذَابُl-ʿadhābuthe punishmentمِنْminfromحَيْثُḥaythuwhereلَاlāthey (did) not perceiveيَشْعُرُونَyashʿurūnathey (did) not perceive
