Surah 16 · Verse 61

وَلَوْwalawAnd ifيُؤَاخِذُyuākhidhuAllah were to seizeاللّٰهُl-lahuAllah were to seizeالنَّاسَl-nāsathe mankindبِظُلْمِهِمْbiẓul'mihimfor their wrongdoingمَاmānotتَرَكَtarakaHe (would) have leftعَلَيْهَاʿalayhāupon itمِنْminanyدَٓابَّةٍdābbatinmoving creatureوَلٰكِنْwalākinbutيُؤَخِّرُهُمْyu-akhiruhumHe defers themاِلٰٓىilāforاَجَلٍajalina termمُسَمًّىۚmusammanappointedفَاِذَاfa-idhāThen whenجَٓاءَjāacomesاَجَلُهُمْajaluhumtheir termsلَاlānotيَسْتَأْخِرُونَyastakhirūnathey (will) remain behindسَاعَةًsāʿatanan hourوَلَاwalāand notيَسْتَقْدِمُونَyastaqdimūnathey can advance (it)
