وَضَرَبَwaḍarabaAnd Allah sets forthاللّٰهُl-lahuAnd Allah sets forthمَثَلاًmathalanan exampleرَجُلَيْنِrajulayni(of) two menاَحَدُهُمَٓاaḥaduhumāone of themاَبْكَمُabkamu(is) dumbلَاlānotيَقْدِرُyaqdiruhe has powerعَلٰىʿalāonشَيْءٍshayinanythingوَهُوَwahuwawhile heكَلٌّkallun(is) a burdenعَلٰىʿalāonمَوْلٰيهُۙmawlāhuhis masterاَيْنَمَاaynamāWhereverيُوَجِّهْهُyuwajjihhuhe directs himلَاlānotيَأْتِyatihe comesبِخَيْرٍۜbikhayrinwith any goodهَلْhalIsيَسْتَو۪يyastawīequalهُوَۙhuwaheوَمَنْwamanand (the one) whoيَأْمُرُyamurucommandsبِالْعَدْلِۙbil-ʿadli[of] justiceوَهُوَwahuwaand heعَلٰىʿalā(is) onصِرَاطٍṣirāṭina pathمُسْتَق۪يمٍ۟mus'taqīminstraightGod puts forth the example of two men, one of them is mute and he cannot control anything, and he is a burden to his master.
