Surah 17 · Verse 73

وَاِنْwa-inAnd indeedكَادُواkādūthey were about (to)لَيَفْتِنُونَكَlayaftinūnakatempt you awayعَنِʿanifromالَّـذ۪ٓيalladhīthat whichاَوْحَيْنَٓاawḥaynāWe revealedاِلَيْكَilaykato youلِتَفْتَرِيَlitaftariyathat you inventعَلَيْنَاʿalaynāabout Usغَيْرَهُۗghayrahuother (than) itوَاِذاًwa-idhanAnd thenلَاتَّخَذُوكَla-ittakhadhūkasurely they would take youخَل۪يلاًkhalīlan(as) a friend
