اَمْamOrكُنْتُمْkuntumwere youشُهَدَٓاءَshuhadāawitnessesاِذْidhwhenحَضَرَḥaḍaracame toيَعْقُوبَyaʿqūbaYaqubالْمَوْتُۙl-mawtu[the] deathاِذْidhwhenقَالَqālahe saidلِبَن۪يهِlibanīhito his sonsمَاmāWhatتَعْبُدُونَtaʿbudūnawill you worshipمِنْminfromبَعْد۪يۜbaʿdīafter meقَالُواqālūThey saidنَعْبُدُnaʿbuduWe will worshipاِلٰهَكَilāhakayour Godوَاِلٰهَwa-ilāhaand (the) Godاٰبَٓائِكَābāika(of) your forefathersاِبْرٰه۪يمَib'rāhīmaIbrahimوَاِسْمٰع۪يلَwa-is'māʿīlaand Ishmaelوَاِسْحٰقَwa-is'ḥāqaand IsaacاِلٰهاًilāhanGodوَاحِداًۚwāḥidanOneوَنَحْنُwanaḥnuAnd weلَهُlahuto Himمُسْلِمُونَmus'limūna(are) submissiveOr were you present when death came to Jacob and he told his sons, "Who shall you serve after I am gone?" They said, "Your god, and the god of your fathers Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac; One god and to Him we peacefully surrender."
