اَلشَّهْرُal-shahruThe monthالْحَرَامُl-ḥarāmu[the] sacredبِالشَّهْرِbil-shahri(is) for the monthالْحَرَامِl-ḥarāmi[the] sacredوَالْحُرُمَاتُwal-ḥurumātuand for all the violationsقِصَاصٌۜqiṣāṣun(is) legal retributionفَمَنِfamaniThen whoeverاعْتَدٰىiʿ'tadātransgressedعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumupon youفَاعْتَدُواfa-iʿ'tadūthen you transgressعَلَيْهِʿalayhion himبِمِثْلِbimith'liin (the) same mannerمَاmā(as)اعْتَدٰىiʿ'tadāhe transgressedعَلَيْكُمْۖʿalaykumupon youوَاتَّقُواwa-ittaqūAnd fearاللّٰهَl-lahaAllahوَاعْلَمُٓواwa-iʿ'lamūand knowاَنَّannathatاللّٰهَl-lahaAllahمَعَmaʿa(is) withالْمُتَّق۪ينَl-mutaqīnathose who fear (Him)The Restricted Month is for the Restricted Month. The restrictions are mutual. Whoever attacks you, then you shall attack him the same as he attacked you; and be conscientious of God, and know that God is with the righteous.
