Surah 2 · Verse 257

اَللّٰهُal-lahuAllahوَلِيُّwaliyyu(is the) Protecting Guardianالَّذ۪ينَalladhīna(of) those whoاٰمَنُواۙāmanūbelieve[d]يُخْرِجُهُمْyukh'rijuhumHe brings them outمِنَminafromالظُّلُمَاتِl-ẓulumāti[the] darknessاِلَىilātowardsالنُّورِۜl-nūri[the] lightوَالَّذ۪ينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoكَفَرُٓواkafarūdisbelieve(d)اَوْلِيَٓاؤُ۬هُمُawliyāuhumutheir guardiansالطَّاغُوتُۙl-ṭāghūtu(are) the evil onesيُخْرِجُونَهُمْyukh'rijūnahumthey bring them outمِنَminafromالنُّورِl-nūrithe lightاِلَىilātowardsالظُّلُمَاتِۜl-ẓulumāti[the] darknessاُو۬لٰٓئِكَulāikaThoseاَصْحَابُaṣḥābu(are the) companionsالنَّارِۚl-nāri(of) the Fireهُمْhumtheyف۪يهَاfīhāin itخَالِدُونَ۟khālidūnawill abide forever
