[26:16-18] God's instruction to Moses, without being repeated by Moses, is followed by Pharaoh's answer, as if Moses had already told Pharaoh what was asked of him. This overlapping of scenes is one of the techniques used in the Quran to convey events. For other examples, see 12:83; 20:47-49.
