Surah 28 · Verse 45

وَلٰكِنَّٓاwalākinnāBut Weاَنْشَأْنَاanshanā[We] producedقُرُوناًqurūnangenerationsفَتَطَاوَلَfataṭāwalaand prolongedعَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimufor themالْعُمُرُۚl-ʿumuruthe lifeوَمَاwamāAnd notكُنْتَkuntayou wereثَاوِياًthāwiyana dwellerف۪ٓيfīamongاَهْلِahli(the) peopleمَدْيَنَmadyana(of) Madyanتَتْلُواtatlūrecitingعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themاٰيَاتِنَاۙāyātināOur Versesوَلٰكِنَّاwalākinnābut Weكُنَّاkunnā[We] wereمُرْسِل۪ينَmur'silīnathe Senders
