Surah 28 · Verse 46

وَمَاwamāAnd notكُنْتَkuntayou wereبِجَانِبِbijānibiat (the) sideالطُّورِl-ṭūri(of) the TurاِذْidhwhenنَادَيْنَاnādaynāWe calledوَلٰكِنْwalākinButرَحْمَةًraḥmatan(as) a mercyمِنْminfromرَبِّكَrabbikayour Lordلِتُنْذِرَlitundhiraso that you warnقَوْماًqawmana peopleمَٓاmānotاَتٰيهُمْatāhum(had) come to themمِنْminanyنَذ۪يرٍnadhīrinwarnerمِنْminbefore youقَبْلِكَqablikabefore youلَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahumso that they mayيَتَذَكَّرُونَyatadhakkarūnaremember
