فَاِنْfa-inBut ifلَمْlamnotيَسْتَج۪يبُواyastajībūthey respondلَكَlakato youفَاعْلَمْfa-iʿ'lamthen knowاَنَّمَاannamāthat onlyيَتَّبِعُونَyattabiʿūnathey followاَهْوَٓاءَهُمْۜahwāahumtheir desiresوَمَنْwamanAnd whoاَضَلُّaḍallu(is) more astrayمِمَّنِmimmanithan (one) whoاتَّبَعَittabaʿafollowsهَوٰيهُhawāhuhis own desireبِغَيْرِbighayriwithoutهُدًىhudanguidanceمِنَminafromاللّٰهِۜl-lahiAllahاِنَّinnaIndeedاللّٰهَl-lahaAllahلَاlā(does) notيَهْدِيyahdīguideالْقَوْمَl-qawmathe peopleالظَّالِم۪ينَl-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoersBut if they fail to respond to you, then know that they follow only their desires. Who is more astray than one who follows his desire, without guidance from God? God does not guide the wicked people.
