فَخَرَجَfakharajaSo he went forthعَلٰىʿalātoقَوْمِه۪qawmihihis peopleف۪يfīinز۪ينَتِه۪ۜzīnatihihis adornmentقَالَqālaSaidالَّذ۪ينَalladhīnathose whoيُر۪يدُونَyurīdūnadesireالْحَيٰوةَl-ḥayatathe lifeالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā(of) the worldيَاyāO!لَيْتَlaytaWould thatلَنَاlanāfor usمِثْلَmith'la(the) likeمَٓاmā(of) whatاُو۫تِيَūtiyahas been givenقَارُونُۙqārūnu(to) QarunاِنَّهُinnahuIndeed, heلَذُوladhū(is the) ownerحَظٍّḥaẓẓin(of) fortuneعَظ۪يمٍʿaẓīmingreatThen he came out among his people draped in his ornaments. Those who preferred this worldly life said, "Oh, if only we were given similar to what Qarun has been given. Indeed, he is very fortunate."
