Surah 29 · Verse 53

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَwayastaʿjilūnakaAnd they ask you to hastenبِالْعَذَابِۜbil-ʿadhābi[with] the punishmentوَلَوْلَٓاwalawlāAnd if notاَجَلٌajalun(for) a termمُسَمًّىmusammanappointedلَجَٓاءَهُمُlajāahumusurely (would) have come to themالْعَذَابُۜl-ʿadhābuthe punishmentوَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُمْwalayatiyannahumBut it will surely come to themبَغْتَةًbaghtatansuddenlyوَهُمْwahumwhile theyلَاlā(do) notيَشْعُرُونَyashʿurūnaperceive
