Surah 29 · Verse 8

وَوَصَّيْنَاwawaṣṣaynāAnd We have enjoinedالْاِنْسَانَl-insāna(on) manبِوَالِدَيْهِbiwālidayhigoodness to his parentsحُسْناًۜḥus'nangoodness to his parentsوَاِنْwa-inbut ifجَاهَدَاكَjāhadākathey both strive against youلِتُشْرِكَlitush'rikato make you associateب۪يbīwith Meمَاmāwhatلَيْسَlaysanotلَكَlakayou haveبِه۪bihiof itعِلْمٌʿil'munany knowledgeفَلَاfalāthen (do) notتُطِعْهُمَاۜtuṭiʿ'humāobey both of themاِلَيَّilayyaTo Meمَرْجِعُكُمْmarjiʿukum(is) your returnفَاُنَبِّئُكُمْfa-unabbi-ukumand I will inform youبِمَاbimāabout whatكُنْتُمْkuntumyou usedتَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūna(to) do
