Surah 3 · Verse 112

ضُرِبَتْḍuribatStruckعَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimuon themالذِّلَّةُl-dhilatuthe humiliationاَيْنَaynawhereverمَاmāthatثُقِفُٓواthuqifūthey are foundاِلَّاillāexceptبِحَبْلٍbiḥablinwith a ropeمِنَminafromاللّٰهِl-lahiAllahوَحَبْلٍwaḥablinand a ropeمِنَminafromالنَّاسِl-nāsithe peopleوَبَٓاؤُ۫wabāūAnd they incurredبِغَضَبٍbighaḍabinwrathمِنَminafromاللّٰهِl-lahiAllahوَضُرِبَتْwaḍuribatand struckعَلَيْهِمُʿalayhimuon themالْمَسْكَنَةُۜl-maskanatuthe povertyذٰلِكَdhālikaThatبِاَنَّهُمْbi-annahum(is) becauseكَانُواkānūthey used toيَكْفُرُونَyakfurūnadisbelieveبِاٰيَاتِbiāyātiin (the) Versesاللّٰهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَيَقْتُلُونَwayaqtulūnaand they killedالْاَنْبِيَٓاءَl-anbiyāathe ProphetsبِغَيْرِbighayriwithoutحَقٍّۜḥaqqinrightذٰلِكَdhālikaThatبِمَاbimā(is) becauseعَصَوْاʿaṣawthey disobeyedوَكَانُواwakānūand they used toيَعْتَدُونَ۠yaʿtadūnatransgress
