وَكَاَيِّنْwaka-ayyinAnd how manyمِنْminfromنَبِيٍّnabiyyina Prophetقَاتَلَۙqātalafoughtمَعَهُmaʿahuwith himرِبِّيُّونَribbiyyūna(were) religious scholarsكَث۪يرٌۚkathīrunmanyفَمَاfamāBut notوَهَنُواwahanūthey lost heartلِمَٓاlimāfor whatاَصَابَهُمْaṣābahumbefell themف۪يfīinسَب۪يلِsabīli(the) wayاللّٰهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَمَاwamāand notضَعُفُواḍaʿufūthey weakenedوَمَاwamāand notاسْتَكَانُواۜis'takānūthey gave inوَاللّٰهُwal-lahuAnd Allahيُحِبُّyuḥibbulovesالصَّابِر۪ينَl-ṣābirīnathe patient onesMany a prophet had a large number of devotees fighting with him. They did not waver by what afflicted them in the cause of God, nor did they become weak, nor did they become discouraged; and God loves the steadfast.
