لَقَدْlaqadCertainlyسَمِـعَsamiʿaheardاللّٰهُl-lahuAllahقَوْلَqawla(the) sayingالَّذ۪ينَalladhīna(of) those whoقَالُٓواqālūsaidاِنَّinnaIndeedاللّٰهَl-lahaAllahفَق۪يرٌfaqīrun(is) poorوَنَحْنُwanaḥnuwhile weاَغْنِيَٓاءُۢaghniyāu(are) richسَنَكْتُبُsanaktubuWe will recordمَاmāwhatقَالُواqālūthey saidوَقَتْلَهُمُwaqatlahumuand their killingالْاَنْبِيَٓاءَl-anbiyāathe Prophetsبِغَيْرِbighayriwithoutحَقٍّۙḥaqqin(any) rightوَنَقُولُwanaqūluand We will sayذُوقُواdhūqūTasteعَذَابَʿadhāba(the) punishmentالْحَر۪يقِl-ḥarīqi(of) the Burning FireGod has heard the words of those who said, "God is poor and we are rich!" We will record what they said as well as their killing of the prophets without just cause. We will say, "Taste the retribution of the fire!"
