Surah 31 · Verse 14

وَوَصَّيْنَاwawaṣṣaynāAnd We have enjoinedالْاِنْسَانَl-insāna(upon) manبِوَالِدَيْهِۚbiwālidayhifor his parentsحَمَلَتْهُḥamalathucarried himاُمُّهُummuhuhis motherوَهْناًwahnan(in) weaknessعَلٰىʿalāuponوَهْنٍwahninweaknessوَفِصَالُهُwafiṣāluhuand his weaningف۪يfī(is) inعَامَيْنِʿāmaynitwo yearsاَنِanithatاشْكُرْush'kurBe gratefulل۪يlīto Meوَلِوَالِدَيْكَۜwaliwālidaykaand to your parentsاِلَيَّilayyatowards Meالْمَص۪يرُl-maṣīru(is) the destination
