Surah 33 · Verse 53

يَٓاyāOاَيُّهَاʾaayyuhāyou who believeالَّذ۪ينَalladhīnaO you who believeاٰمَنُواāmanūO you who believeلَاlā(Do) notتَدْخُلُواtadkhulūenterبُيُوتَbuyūta(the) housesالنَّبِيِّl-nabiyi(of) the Prophetاِلَّٓاillāexceptاَنْanwhenيُؤْذَنَyu'dhanapermission is givenلَكُمْlakumto youاِلٰىilāforطَعَامٍṭaʿāmina mealغَيْرَghayrawithoutنَاظِر۪ينَnāẓirīnaawaitingاِنٰيهُۙināhuits preparationوَلٰكِنْwalākinButاِذَاidhāwhenدُع۪يتُمْduʿītumyou are invitedفَادْخُلُواfa-ud'khulūthen enterفَاِذَاfa-idhāand whenطَعِمْتُمْṭaʿim'tumyou have eatenفَانْتَشِرُواfa-intashirūthen disperseوَلَاwalāand notمُسْتَأْنِس۪ينَmus'tanisīnaseeking to remainلِحَد۪يثٍۜliḥadīthinfor a conversationاِنَّinnaIndeedذٰلِكُمْdhālikumthatكَانَkānawasيُؤْذِيyu'dhītroublingالنَّبِيَّl-nabiyathe Prophetفَيَسْتَحْـي۪fayastaḥyīand he is shyمِنْكُمْۘminkumof (dismissing) youوَاللّٰهُwal-lahuBut Allahلَاlāis not shyيَسْتَحْـي۪yastaḥyīis not shyمِنَminaofالْحَقِّۜl-ḥaqithe truthوَاِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenسَاَلْتُمُوهُنَّsa-altumūhunnayou ask themمَتَاعاًmatāʿan(for) anythingفَسْـَٔلُوهُنَّمِنْminfromوَرَٓاءِwarāibehindحِجَابٍۜḥijābina screenذٰلِكُمْdhālikumThatاَطْهَرُaṭharu(is) purerلِقُلُوبِكُمْliqulūbikumfor your heartsوَقُلُوبِهِنَّۜwaqulūbihinnaand their heartsوَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānaisلَكُمْlakumfor youاَنْanthatتُؤْذُواtu'dhūyou troubleرَسُولَrasūla(the) Messengerاللّٰهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَلَٓاwalāand notاَنْanthatتَنْكِحُٓواtankiḥūyou should marryاَزْوَاجَهُazwājahuhis wivesمِنْminafter himبَعْدِه۪ٓbaʿdihiafter himاَبَداًۜabadaneverاِنَّinnaIndeedذٰلِكُمْdhālikumthatكَانَkānaisعِنْـدَʿindanearاللّٰهِl-lahiAllahعَظ۪يـماًʿaẓīmanan enormity
