So that God may punish the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women, and the men who set up partners and the women who set up partners. God redeems the acknowledging men and the acknowledging women. God is Forgiver, Compassionate.

[33:73] The fabricators of hadith stating that Muhammed's followers would split into 73 factions (ahzab) were most likely inspired by the number of verses in this chapter, which is traditionally named Factions.
