Surah 34 · Verse 33

وَقَالَwaqālaAnd will sayالَّذ۪ينَalladhīnathose whoاسْتُضْعِفُواus'tuḍ'ʿifūwere oppressedلِلَّذ۪ينَlilladhīnato those whoاسْتَكْبَرُواis'takbarūwere arrogantبَلْbalNayمَكْرُmakru(it was) a plotالَّيْلِal-layli(by) nightوَالنَّهَارِwal-nahāriand (by) dayاِذْidhwhenتَأْمُرُونَـنَٓاtamurūnanāyou were ordering usاَنْanthatنَكْفُرَnakfurawe disbelieveبِاللّٰهِbil-lahiin Allahوَنَجْعَلَwanajʿalaand we set upلَهُٓlahufor Himاَنْدَاداًۜandādanequalsوَاَسَرُّواwa-asarrūBut they will concealالنَّدَامَةَl-nadāmatathe regretلَمَّاlammāwhenرَاَوُاra-awūthey seeالْعَذَابَۜl-ʿadhābathe punishmentوَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnāAnd We will putالْاَغْلَالَl-aghlālashacklesف۪ٓيfīonاَعْنَاقِaʿnāqi(the) necksالَّذ۪ينَalladhīna(of) those whoكَفَرُواۜkafarūdisbelievedهَلْhalWillيُجْزَوْنَyuj'zawnathey be recompensedاِلَّاillāexceptمَاmā(for) whatكَانُواkānūthey used toيَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūnado
