Surah 35 · Verse 42

وَاَقْسَمُواwa-aqsamūAnd they sworeبِاللّٰهِbil-lahiby Allahجَهْدَjahda(the) strongestاَيْمَانِهِمْaymānihim(of) their oathsلَئِنْla-inthat ifجَٓاءَهُمْjāahumcame to themنَذ۪يرٌnadhīruna warnerلَيَكُونُنَّlayakūnunnasurely, they would beاَهْدٰىahdāmore guidedمِنْminthanاِحْدَىiḥ'dāanyالْاُمَمِۚl-umami(of) the nationsفَلَمَّاfalammāBut whenجَٓاءَهُمْjāahumcame to themنَذ۪يرٌnadhīruna warnerمَاmānotزَادَهُمْzādahumit increased themاِلَّاillābutنُفُوراًۙnufūran(in) aversion
