Surah 35 · Verse 43

اِسْتِكْبَاراًis'tik'bāran(Due to) arroganceفِيfīinالْاَرْضِl-arḍithe landوَمَكْرَwamakraand plottingالسَّيِّئِۜl-sayi-i(of) the evilوَلَاwalābut notيَح۪يقُyaḥīquencompassesالْمَكْرُl-makruthe plotالسَّيِّئُl-sayi-u(of) the evilاِلَّاillāexceptبِاَهْلِه۪ۜbi-ahlihiits own peopleفَهَلْfahalThen doيَنْظُرُونَyanẓurūnathey waitاِلَّاillāexceptسُنَّتَsunnata(the) wayالْاَوَّل۪ينَۚl-awalīna(of) the former (people)فَلَنْfalanBut neverتَجِدَtajidayou will findلِسُنَّتِlisunnatiin (the) wayاللّٰهِl-lahi(of) Allahتَبْد۪يلاًۚtabdīlanany changeوَلَنْwalanand neverتَجِدَtajidayou will findلِسُنَّتِlisunnatiin (the) wayاللّٰهِl-lahi(of) Allahتَحْو۪يلاًtaḥwīlanany alteration
