Surah 39 · Verse 4

لَوْlawIfاَرَادَarādaAllah (had) intendedاللّٰهُl-lahuAllah (had) intendedاَنْantoيَتَّخِذَyattakhidhatakeوَلَداًwaladana sonلَاصْطَفٰىla-iṣ'ṭafāsurely, He (could) have chosenمِمَّاmimmāfrom whatيَخْلُقُyakhluquHe createsمَاmāwhateverيَشَٓاءُۙyashāuHe willedسُبْحَانَهُۜsub'ḥānahuGlory be to HimهُوَhuwaHeاللّٰهُl-lahu(is) Allahالْوَاحِدُl-wāḥiduthe Oneالْقَهَّارُl-qahāruthe Irresistible
