Surah 4 · Verse 154

وَرَفَعْنَاwarafaʿnāAnd We raisedفَوْقَهُمُfawqahumuover themالطُّورَl-ṭūrathe mountبِم۪يثَاقِهِمْbimīthāqihimfor their covenantوَقُلْنَاwaqul'nāand We saidلَهُمُlahumuto themادْخُلُواud'khulūEnterالْبَابَl-bābathe gateسُجَّداًsujjadanprostratingوَقُلْنَاwaqul'nāAnd We saidلَهُمْlahumto themلَاlā(Do) notتَعْدُواtaʿdūtransgressفِيfīinالسَّبْتِl-sabtithe Sabbathوَاَخَذْنَاwa-akhadhnāAnd We tookمِنْهُمْmin'humfrom themم۪يثَاقاًmīthāqana covenantغَل۪يظاًghalīẓansolemn
