If you fear a split between them, then send a judge from his family and a judge from hers. If they want to reconcile, then God will bring them together. God is Knowledgeable, Ever-aware.

[4:35] It is clear that divorce does not occur by some magic words uttered by the husband. Furthermore, woman is mentioned as one of the parties whose wish is equally important in case of divorce. See 2:226-230. Verse 4:19 clearly recognizes the right of women to divorce.
