Let those who seek to purchase the Hereafter rather than this world fight in the cause of God. Whoever fights in the cause of God and is killed or attains victory, then We will grant him a great reward.

[4:74] Attacking atheists, agnostics or the members of other religions and sects by chanting God's name is not "fighting in the cause of God." The fight that is permitted by the Quran is the one done for the purpose of defending self and community against aggressive parties. See 9:3-29.
