Surah 4 · Verse 83

وَاِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenجَٓاءَهُمْjāahumcomes to themاَمْرٌamruna matterمِنَminaofالْاَمْنِl-amnithe securityاَوِawiorالْخَوْفِl-khawfi[the] fearاَذَاعُواadhāʿūthey spreadبِه۪ۜbihi[with] itوَلَوْwalawBut ifرَدُّوهُraddūhuthey (had) referred itاِلَىilātoالرَّسُولِl-rasūlithe Messengerوَاِلٰٓىwa-ilāand toاُو۬لِيulīthoseالْاَمْرِl-amri(having) authorityمِنْهُمْmin'humamong themلَعَلِمَهُlaʿalimahusurely would have known itالَّذ۪ينَalladhīnathose whoيَسْتَنْبِطُونَهُyastanbiṭūnahudraw correct conclusion (from) itمِنْهُمْۜmin'humamong themوَلَوْلَاwalawlāAnd if notفَضْلُfaḍlu(had been the) bountyاللّٰهِl-lahi(of) Allahعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumon youوَرَحْمَتُهُwaraḥmatuhuand His Mercyلَاتَّبَعْتُمُla-ittabaʿtumusurely you (would have) followedالشَّيْطَانَl-shayṭānathe Shaitaanاِلَّاillāexceptقَل۪يلاًqalīlana few
