Surah 42 · Verse 8

وَلَوْwalawAnd ifشَٓاءَshāaAllah willedاللّٰهُl-lahuAllah willedلَجَعَلَهُمْlajaʿalahumHe could have made themاُمَّةًummatana communityوَاحِدَةًwāḥidatanoneوَلٰكِنْwalākinbutيُدْخِلُyud'khiluHe admitsمَنْmanwhomيَشَٓاءُyashāuHe willsف۪يfīin (to)رَحْمَتِه۪ۜraḥmatihiHis Mercyوَالظَّالِمُونَwal-ẓālimūnaAnd the wrongdoersمَاmānotلَهُمْlahumfor themمِنْminanyوَلِيٍّwaliyyinprotectorوَلَاwalāand notنَص۪يرٍnaṣīrinany helper
