وَاذْكُرْwa-udh'kurAnd mentionاَخَاakhā(the) brotherعَادٍۜʿādin(of) Aadاِذْidhwhenاَنْذَرَandharahe warnedقَوْمَهُqawmahuhis peopleبِالْاَحْقَافِbil-aḥqāfiin the Al-Ahqafوَقَدْwaqadand had already passed awayخَلَتِkhalatiand had already passed awayالنُّذُرُl-nudhuru[the] warnersمِنْminbefore himبَيْنِbaynibefore himيَدَيْهِyadayhibefore himوَمِنْwaminand after himخَلْفِه۪ٓkhalfihiand after himاَلَّاallāThat notتَعْبُدُٓواtaʿbudūyou worshipاِلَّاillāexceptاللّٰهَۜl-lahaAllahاِنّ۪ٓيinnīIndeed, Iاَخَافُakhāfu[I] fearعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumfor youعَذَابَʿadhābaa punishmentيَوْمٍyawmin(of) a Dayعَظ۪يمٍʿaẓīminGreatRecall that the brother of Aad warned his people at the dunes, while numerous warnings were also delivered before him and with him: "You shall not serve except God. For I fear for you the retribution of a great day."
