Surah 46 · Verse 28

فَلَوْلَاfalawlāThen why (did) notنَصَرَهُمُnaṣarahumuhelp themالَّذ۪ينَalladhīnathose whomاتَّخَذُواittakhadhūthey had takenمِنْminbesidesدُونِdūnibesidesاللّٰهِl-lahiAllahقُرْبَاناًqur'bānangods as a way of approachاٰلِهَةًۜālihatangods as a way of approachبَلْbalNayضَلُّواḍallūthey were lostعَنْهُمْۚʿanhumfrom themوَذٰلِكَwadhālikaAnd thatاِفْكُهُمْif'kuhum(was) their falsehoodوَمَاwamāand whatكَانُواkānūthey wereيَفْتَرُونَyaftarūnainventing
