Surah 47 · Verse 16

وَمِنْهُمْwamin'humAnd among themمَنْman(are some) whoيَسْتَمِــعُyastamiʿulistenاِلَيْكَۚilaykato youحَتّٰٓىḥattāuntilاِذَاidhāwhenخَرَجُواkharajūthey departمِنْminfromعِنْدِكَʿindikayouقَالُواqālūthey sayلِلَّذ۪ينَlilladhīnato those whoاُو۫تُواūtūwere givenالْعِلْمَl-ʿil'mathe knowledgeمَاذَاmādhāWhatقَالَqāla(has) he saidاٰنِفاً۠ānifanjust nowاُو۬لٰٓئِكَulāikaThoseالَّذ۪ينَalladhīna(are) the onesطَبَعَṭabaʿaAllah has set a sealاللّٰهُl-lahuAllah has set a sealعَلٰىʿalāuponقُلُوبِهِمْqulūbihimtheir heartsوَاتَّبَعُٓواwa-ittabaʿūand they followاَهْوَٓاءَهُمْahwāahumtheir desires
