Surah 49 · Verse 11

يَٓاyāOاَيُّهَاʾaayyuhāyou who believeالَّذ۪ينَalladhīnaO you who believeاٰمَنُواāmanūO you who believeلَاlā(Let) notيَسْخَرْyaskharridiculeقَوْمٌqawmuna peopleمِنْmin[of]قَوْمٍqawmin(another) peopleعَسٰٓىʿasāperhapsاَنْanthatيَكُونُواyakūnūthey may beخَيْراًkhayranbetterمِنْهُمْmin'humthan themوَلَاwalāand (let) notنِسَٓاءٌnisāonwomenمِنْmin[of]نِسَٓاءٍnisāin(other) womenعَسٰٓىʿasāperhapsاَنْanthatيَكُنَّyakunnathey may beخَيْراًkhayranbetterمِنْهُنَّۚmin'hunnathan themوَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتَلْمِزُٓواtalmizūinsultاَنْفُسَكُمْanfusakumyourselvesوَلَاwalāand (do) notتَنَابَزُواtanābazūcall each otherبِالْاَلْقَابِۜbil-alqābiby nicknamesبِئْسَbi'saWretched isالِاسْمُl-s'muthe nameالْفُسُوقُl-fusūqu(of) disobedienceبَعْدَbaʿdaafterالْا۪يمَانِۚl-īmānithe faithوَمَنْwamanAnd whoeverلَمْlam(does) notيَتُبْyatubrepentفَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَfa-ulāikathen thoseهُمُhumutheyالظَّالِمُونَl-ẓālimūna(are) the wrongdoers
