Surah 5 · Verse 106

يَٓاyāOاَيُّهَاʾaayyuhāyouالَّذ۪ينَalladhīnawhoاٰمَنُواāmanūbelieveشَهَادَةُshahādatu(Take) testimonyبَيْنِكُمْbaynikumamong youاِذَاidhāwhenحَضَرَḥaḍaraapproachesاَحَدَكُمُaḥadakumuone of youالْمَوْتُl-mawtu[the] deathح۪ينَḥīna(at the) time (of making)الْوَصِيَّةِl-waṣiyati[the] a willاثْنَانِith'nānitwoذَوَاdhawāmenعَدْلٍʿadlinjustمِنْكُمْminkumamong youاَوْaworاٰخَرَانِākharānitwo othersمِنْminfromغَيْرِكُمْghayrikumother than youاِنْinifاَنْتُمْantumyouضَرَبْتُمْḍarabtum(are) travel(ing)فِيfīinالْاَرْضِl-arḍithe earthفَاَصَابَتْكُمْfa-aṣābatkumthen befalls youمُص۪يبَةُmuṣībatucalamityالْمَوْتِۜl-mawti(of) [the] deathتَحْبِسُونَهُمَاtaḥbisūnahumāDetain both of themمِنْminfromبَعْدِbaʿdiafterالصَّلٰوةِl-ṣalatithe prayerفَيُقْسِمَانِfayuq'simāniand let them both swearبِاللّٰهِbil-lahiby Allahاِنِiniifارْتَبْتُمْir'tabtumyou doubtلَاlāNotنَشْتَر۪يnashtarīwe will exchangeبِه۪bihiit forثَمَناًthamanana priceوَلَوْwalaweven ifكَانَkānahe isذَاdhā(of)قُرْبٰىۙqur'bāa near relativeوَلَاwalāand notنَكْتُمُnaktumuwe will concealشَهَادَةَshahādatatestimonyاللّٰهِl-lahi(of) AllahاِنَّٓاinnāIndeed, weاِذاًidhanthenلَمِنَlamina(will) surely (be) ofالْاٰثِم۪ينَl-āthimīnathe sinners
