Surah 5 · Verse 13

فَبِمَاfabimāSo forنَقْضِهِمْnaqḍihimtheir breakingم۪يثَاقَهُمْmīthāqahum(of) their covenantلَعَنَّاهُمْlaʿannāhumWe cursed themوَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnāand We madeقُلُوبَهُمْqulūbahumtheir heartsقَاسِيَةًۚqāsiyatanhardيُحَرِّفُونَyuḥarrifūnaThey distortالْكَلِمَl-kalimathe wordsعَنْʿanfromمَوَاضِعِه۪ۙmawāḍiʿihitheir placesوَنَسُواwanasūand forgotحَظاًّḥaẓẓana partمِمَّاmimmāof whatذُكِّرُواdhukkirūthey were remindedبِه۪ۚbihiof [it]وَلَاwalāAnd notتَزَالُtazāluwill you ceaseتَطَّلِعُtaṭṭaliʿuto discoverعَلٰىʿalāofخَٓائِنَةٍkhāinatintreacheryمِنْهُمْmin'humfrom themاِلَّاillāexceptقَل۪يلاًqalīlana fewمِنْهُمْmin'humof themفَاعْفُfa-uʿ'fuBut forgiveعَنْهُمْʿanhumthemوَاصْفَحْۜwa-iṣ'faḥand overlookاِنَّinnaIndeedاللّٰهَl-lahaAllahيُحِبُّyuḥibbulovesالْمُحْسِن۪ينَl-muḥ'sinīnathe good-doers
