Surah 5 · Verse 71

وَحَسِبُٓواwaḥasibūAnd they thoughtاَلَّاallāthat notتَكُونَtakūnawill be (for them)فِتْنَةٌfit'natuna trialفَعَمُواfaʿamūso they became blindوَصَمُّواwaṣammūand they became deafثُمَّthummaThenتَابَtābaturnedاللّٰهُl-lahuAllahعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themثُمَّthummathen (again)عَمُواʿamūthey became blindوَصَمُّواwaṣammūand they became deafكَث۪يرٌkathīrunmanyمِنْهُمْۜmin'humof themوَاللّٰهُwal-lahuAnd Allahبَص۪يرٌbaṣīrun(is) All-Seerبِمَاbimāof whatيَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūnathey do
