Surah 5 · Verse 81

وَلَوْwalawAnd ifكَانُواkānūthey hadيُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūnabelievedبِاللّٰهِbil-lahiin Allahوَالنَّبِيِّwal-nabiyiand the Prophetوَمَٓاwamāand whatاُنْزِلَunzilahas been revealedاِلَيْهِilayhito himمَاmānotاتَّخَذُوهُمْittakhadhūhumthey (would have) taken themاَوْلِيَٓاءَawliyāa(as) alliesوَلٰكِنَّwalākinna[and] butكَث۪يراًkathīranmanyمِنْهُمْmin'humof themفَاسِقُونَfāsiqūna(are) defiantly disobedient
