Surah 6 · Verse 43

فَلَوْلَٓاfalawlāThen why notاِذْidhwhenجَٓاءَهُمْjāahumcame to themبَأْسُنَاbasunāOur punishmentتَضَرَّعُواtaḍarraʿūthey humbled themselvesوَلٰكِنْwalākinButقَسَتْqasatbecame hardenedقُلُوبُهُمْqulūbuhumtheir heartsوَزَيَّنَwazayyanaand made fair-seemingلَهُمُlahumuto themالشَّيْطَانُl-shayṭānuthe Shaitaanمَاmāwhatكَانُواkānūthey used toيَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūnado
