قُلْqulSayهُوَhuwaHeالْقَادِرُl-qādiru(is) All-Capableعَلٰٓىʿalā[on]اَنْantoيَبْعَثَyabʿathasendعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumupon youعَذَاباًʿadhābanpunishmentمِنْminfromفَوْقِكُمْfawqikumabove youاَوْaworمِنْminfromتَحْتِtaḥtibeneathاَرْجُلِكُمْarjulikumyour feetاَوْaworيَلْبِسَكُمْyalbisakum(to) confuse youشِيَعاًshiyaʿan(into) sectsوَيُذ۪يقَwayudhīqaand make (you) tasteبَعْضَكُمْbaʿḍakumsome of youبَأْسَbasaviolenceبَعْضٍۜbaʿḍin(of) othersاُنْظُرْunẓurSeeكَيْفَkayfahowنُصَرِّفُnuṣarrifuWe explainالْاٰيَاتِl-āyātithe Signsلَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahumso that they mayيَفْقَهُونَyafqahūnaunderstandSay, "He is able to send retribution from above you or from below your feet, or He will make you belong to opposing factions, then He will let you taste the might of each other."
