Surah 60 · Verse 1

يَٓاyāayyuhāO youاَيُّهَاalladhīnawhoالَّذ۪ينَāmanūbelieveاٰمَنُواlā(Do) notلَاtattakhidhūtakeتَتَّخِذُواʿaduwwīMy enemiesعَدُوّ۪يwaʿaduwwakumand your enemiesوَعَدُوَّكُمْawliyāa(as) alliesاَوْلِيَٓاءَtul'qūnaofferingتُلْقُونَilayhimthemاِلَيْهِمْbil-mawadatiloveبِالْمَوَدَّةِwaqadwhileوَقَدْkafarūthey have disbelievedكَفَرُواbimāin whatبِمَاjāakumcame to youجَٓاءَكُمْminaofمِنَl-ḥaqithe truthالْحَقِّۚyukh'rijūnadriving outيُخْرِجُونَl-rasūlathe Messengerالرَّسُولَwa-iyyākumand yourselvesوَاِيَّاكُمْanbecauseاَنْtu'minūyou believeتُؤْمِنُواbil-lahiin Allahبِاللّٰهِrabbikumyour LordرَبِّكُمْۜinIfاِنْkuntumyouكُنْتُمْkharajtumcome forthخَرَجْتُمْjihādan(to) striveجِهَاداًfīinف۪يsabīlīMy wayسَب۪يل۪يwa-ib'tighāaand (to) seekوَابْتِغَٓاءَmarḍātīMy Pleasureمَرْضَات۪يtusirrūnaYou confideتُسِرُّونَilayhimto themاِلَيْهِمْbil-mawadatiloveبِالْمَوَدَّةِۗwa-anābut I Amوَاَنَا۬aʿlamumost knowingاَعْلَمُbimāof whatبِمَٓاakhfaytumyou concealاَخْفَيْتُمْwamāand whatوَمَٓاaʿlantumyou declareاَعْلَنْتُمْۜwamanAnd whoeverوَمَنْyafʿalhudoes itيَفْعَلْهُminkumamong youمِنْكُمْfaqadthen certainlyفَقَدْḍallahe has strayedضَلَّsawāa(from the) straightسَوَٓاءَsawāʾapathالسَّب۪يلِalssabiylipart of “path”
