اَلَّذ۪ينَalladhīnaThose whoاتَّخَذُواittakhadhūtookد۪ينَهُمْdīnahumtheir religionلَهْواًlahwan(as) an amusementوَلَعِباًwalaʿibanand playوَغَرَّتْهُمُwagharrathumuand deluded themالْحَيٰوةُl-ḥayatuthe lifeالدُّنْيَاۚl-dun'yā(of) the worldفَالْيَوْمَfal-yawmaSo todayنَنْسٰيهُمْnansāhumWe forget themكَمَاkamāasنَسُواnasūthey forgotلِقَٓاءَliqāa(the) meetingيَوْمِهِمْyawmihim(of) their dayهٰذَاۙhādhāthisوَمَاwamāand [what]كَانُواkānū(as) they used toبِاٰيَاتِنَاbiāyātināwith Our Versesيَجْحَدُونَyajḥadūnathey rejectThe ones who took their system as diversion and games, and were preoccupied with this worldly life. Today we ignore them as they ignored their meeting on this day, and they denied Our signs.
