اِنْinIfتَسْتَفْتِحُواtastaftiḥūyou ask for victoryفَقَدْfaqadthen certainlyجَٓاءَكُمُjāakumuhas come to youالْفَتْحُۚl-fatḥuthe victoryوَاِنْwa-inAnd ifتَنْتَهُواtantahūyou desistفَهُوَfahuwathen it (is)خَيْرٌkhayrungoodلَكُمْۚlakumfor youوَاِنْwa-inbut ifتَعُودُواtaʿūdūyou returnنَعُدْۚnaʿudWe will return (too)وَلَنْwalanAnd neverتُغْنِيَtugh'niyawill availعَنْكُمْʿankumyouفِئَتُكُمْfi-atukumyour forcesشَيْـٔاًshayananythingوَلَوْwalaweven ifكَـثُرَتْۙkathurat(they are) numerousوَاَنَّwa-annaAnd thatاللّٰهَl-lahaAllahمَعَmaʿa(is) withالْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ۟l-mu'minīnathe believersIf you sought conquest, then conquest has come to you. But if you cease, then it is better for you. If you return again, then We will also return, and your group will avail you nothing even if it is many. God is with those who acknowledge.
